Core Functionality and Application
The Havells 125 kW Enviro GTi 125 KT NG is a flagship model in the high-power string inverter category. It is specifically engineered to handle the substantial energy output from large solar arrays in industrial parks, utility-scale ground-mounted projects, and massive commercial rooftops. Its primary role is to convert the high-voltage DC power generated by the photovoltaic modules into stable, grid-compliant three-phase AC electricity. This high-capacity conversion capability makes it essential for large projects focused on maximizing energy delivery and ensuring a strong return on investment.
Performance and Yield Optimization
The inverter is built for peak performance, offering a high maximum conversion efficiency of up to 98.7%. To maintain this high yield across extensive and often challenging sites, the 125 kW model is equipped with Ten independent MPPTs. This high number allows the system designer to configure ten separate sub-arrays, ensuring that the effects of panel mismatch, uneven soiling, or localized shading are isolated and minimized, thereby maximizing the total energy harvest. It supports a maximum DC input voltage of 1100 V and allows for significant DC oversizing (up to 1.5 times the AC capacity) per MPPT, providing ultimate flexibility in array design and improving energy yield during low irradiance conditions.
Safety, Protection, and Reliability
Designed for long-term outdoor reliability, the unit features an IP65-rated enclosure, providing excellent protection against environmental elements like dust and water jets. Safety is integrated at multiple levels, including an in-built DC switch for secure isolation of the solar input and integrated Type II Surge Protection Devices (SPD) on both the AC and DC terminals to shield the electronics from voltage surges. The inverter is certified as per major international and Indian safety and quality standards (IEC and BIS certified).
Monitoring and Connectivity
Intelligent system management is enabled through features like String Level Monitoring, which allows for granular performance tracking and rapid fault identification down to the individual string. Communication relies on a standard Wi-Fi / GPRS Data Logger (USB Type), which provides lifetime free access to a remote monitoring platform (web portal and mobile application). This allows operators to monitor performance in real-time, receive fault alerts, and conduct online software upgrades. The unit also supports the Anti-Reverse Power Control (ARPC) feature as an optional component for zero-export regulatory compliance.
